My Personal Journey

My Ovarian Cancer was caught early because of a hard spot in my lower left abdomen. I went to my Gynecological Oncologist to tell him about it. He said that it was probably a cyst, but that I would have a hysterectomy to remove it ....since I was already 62 years old. But, I had Ovarian Cancer. After removal, I went through 6 months of chemo...some in my abdomen.

Colon cancer nearly a decade later

Nine years later it came back in my colon. Not Ovarian per se...but characteristics of Ovarian. I had part of my colon removed and then had radiation treatment for the small amount left near my ureter.
