Well I don’t think i would say it’s a “meal” but there are specific foods and all carb heavy.. Sometimes right after chemo, I eat a small bowl of mashed potatoes (omg so good!!) I keep potatoes both raw and instant. I find a day or two later that I enjoy carbs “meals” like fried rice, with various proteins.. shrimp is my favorite. I can make it myself but prefer to have it delivered and rest. Egg drop soup is my absolute FAVORITE comfort! I have learned how to make it myself and it helps me when I have been very sick and weak… the protein & broth base helps calm my stomach. ~Leya Elijah-Team Member~

To be honest, I didn't handle chemo well so nothing sounded great at all to eat, BUT when I did want to eat I found that cold things were easier to manage than warm meals for some reason.

, that makes sense as cold foods are not as strongly scented, and some of the taste can be muted, which might have kept them gentler on your tongue. How are you doing today? - Warmly, Donna (Team Member)
