Did you get a second opinion?
Has anyone had experience with getting a second opinion after an initial diagnosis?
Yes! After my surgery, I wasn’t happy with the oncologist team I had at all. I had a very rare tumor and learned that I will never be NED or “ Cancer Free” again, as this cancer has a 100% recurrence rate. I was immediately spoke to my PCP ( who is, without a doubt, an angel) and he got me accepted to Duke University Cancer Institute as they were 1 of only 4 teaching/research hospitals in the USA that researched my type of tumor/cancer.
